Wine

Wines express Ohio flavor

The making and selling of wine has been a serious business in Ohio for more than 200 years.

The Canal Country region alone supports 22 wineries.  The state contains five separate appellations, official wine growing regions recognized by the United States Alcohol Tax and Trade Bureau. These add to local culture and to the agricultural economy of the state.

The articles and multimedia collected here give readers a chance to experience Ohio wine country. Relax with locals as they enjoy a glass of wine on a patio in the woods. Learn about the growing market for wine in Ohio. Browse through photos and videos of local wineries.
